Downeast Vacation

Vacation in Maine was great. Not having to write about it is even greater. Sara, self appointed trip chronicler (Julie and I have decided that yes, this is a word) did a fantastic job with the vacation play-by-play. Check it out: http://saraplaintall.wordpress.com/

Just so’s I don’t look like a total slacker, here’s some of my favorite pics from the trip:

Whale tail! We saw 5-6 humpbacks, sea birds (puffins, gillimonts, storm petrals, gulls), and harbor porpoise on our whale watch.

It was a long hike to the top of Cadilac Mountain (and an even longer one down). Fischer had a great time sniffing passing hikers, getting pet by little kids, and enjoying a break in the wind at the summit (super dog ears!).

I yelled, "Do Lewis and Clark!" This is what I got.
